Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Pictured here is our new High-Field MRI machine. As you can see, although some patients don't like the "closed in" feeling they get from an MRI, our room is spacious and airy. Our unique ceiling offers a view of blue skies and trees which many patients find relaxing. We also offer complimentary sattelite radio for your listening pleasure.
Ultrasound
Our new Zonare Ultrasound machine uses sound waves to create images, instead of radiation like most diagnostic tests. This makes it safe for pregnant women, giving you the first peek at your baby. It's also special because it can show movement, rather than just the stationary images that other machines provide.
Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
As we get older, our bones change. They can become brittle and prone to fracture or break. It is important for your Doctor to be aware of whats going on in your bones so they can help you protect them.
Who should have a Bone Density test?
- All women over 65
- Post menopausal women under 65 who have one or more risk factors for osteoporosis or osteopenia
- All men and women who suffer a fracture
- People on certain drug therapies or treatments
Digital X-ray
X-ray is traditonally the first line of defense when your physician is trying to diagnose breaks, fractures, fluid, and many other ailments. Despite being a test that has been around for a very long time, we have managed to put a fresh spin on it by going with a digital machine. This enables us to give you your images on either traditional film, or on a compact disk.
